Lawrence Downey Lawrence is not a common Irish given name. In Ireland, "Labhrás is the most common form of it. There is also the varient 'Lubhrás,' the short-form 'Labhraidh,' the older 'Lorcán,' and the Scottish 'Labhrann.1'" He and (?) Downey *** Note *** That Patrick and Thomas are brothers of Lawrence is just a guess - based partly on the ages, partly on the apparent coincidence of when they appeared in Perry County, and partly wild hunch.
