7 Aug 1873: John L. ELDER, aged about 33 years, was killed on the railroad tracks in the depot on 31 Jul. Survived by wife and 4 children. Buried in Sugar Grove.

10 Apr 1879: Jennie ROWLES, who m. J. J. ELDER of Bremen, d. 10 Mar aged 20y, 11m, 6d. Survived by husband and 8 month old daughter. Buried in Bethel Cemetery.
